Helen Doria Arts in the Park Award

This award - presented in partnership with Arts Alliance Illinois - recognizes agencies (park districts, forest preserves, conservation, recreation, and special recreation agencies) that support the arts and partner with artists and arts organizations to enhance the quality of life in their communities. Rather than focus on one program or service, applicants are encouraged to discuss the full scope of arts activities they support.

There is a $35 processing fee for each nomination. A narrative detailing your agency's support of the arts and partnerships with artists and arts organizations. Your narrative must include contact information for a point of contract for the application. Please submit information to bjhill@ILparks.org as a Word document. Narratives must not exceed 750 words. Additional supporting materials including newspaper clippings, photos, etc. (not to exceed 5 pages or 5 attachments) must also be e-mailed as .pdf attachments to bjhill@ILparks.org. If your agency is selected, a summary of representative project and press list will be required.

All nominations must be received by NOON on FRIDAY, AUGUST 2nd, 2013.  Your agency must be an IAPD member to apply.
