In order to provide our members with the most complete and accurate list of bills that we are tracking in the 95th Illinois General Assembly, we have developed a database on the Illinois General Assembly's Web site. This site is continuously updated with the most current information.

To find the latest action on any of the legislation being tracked below, please take the following easy steps.

BILL SEARCH
Visit the Illinois General Assembly web site at http://www.ilga.gov

This site includes introduced bills and resolutions, adopted amendments, engrossed bills and resolutions, and re-enrolled bills for the 90th General Assembly (which began in January 1997 and ended in January 1999), the 91st General Assembly (which began in January 1999 and ended in January 2001), and the 92nd General Assembly (which began in January 2001).

From the homepage press Legislation - Status and Text.

If you know the bill number type it in (i.e. SB 1171 or HB 3016) and hit enter. If you type in the bill number, it will take you directly to that bill's summary.

If you are unsure of the correct bill number, select from the table of bill groupings to access the on-line bill descriptions. Click on a bill description to view the bill synopsis and current status.

Once you have brought up the bill that you would like to review, you will find the last action taken, last action date, location of the bill (House or Senate), and a list of amendments to the bill listed at the bottom of the page.

You will also be able to choose to view the full text or complete bill status. You may choose one of these options at the top of the bill.

The synopses appearing above engrossed bills, enrolled bills, and re-enrolled bills do not reflect the contents of those bills as amended. The synopses reflect the contents of bills as originally introduced.

If there is any activity regarding a bill or resolution on a given day, the Bill Status and Bill Summary pages for that bill or resolution are updated within the hour to reflect that activity.

SCHEDULES AND COMMITTEES
From the homepage you may also select Schedules from whichever house you are interested in. From this page you will be able to: View and print their daily calendar; View committee notices of hearing postings; View committee schedules; and Print a copy of their monthly calendars.

MEMBER INFORMATION
If you would like specific information on a legislator, choose the Members option from the homepage. From this screen you will be able to: View the list of bills that the legislator is serving as the primary sponsor; View the list of bills that the legislator is serving as a sponsor/co-sponsor; View the legislator's committees; View the legislator's office address by name, party, leadership or district; and View the legislator's biography.
