This award recognizes citizens' volunteer efforts to enhance a park district, forest preserve, conservation, recreation or special recreation agency program, service, parkland, open space or facility. This award is not intended for a park district, forest preserve,conservation, recreation or special recreation agency board member, but rather an active citizen volunteer.

There is a $35 processing fee for each nomination. A narrative of the contributions the citizen or citizens has made to your agency must be submitted via e-mail to bjhill@ILparks.org as a Word document. Narratives must not exceed 750 words. Supporting materials including newspaper clippings, photos,etc. (not to exceed 5 pages or 5 attachments) must also be e-mailed as .pdf attachments to bjhill@ILparks.org. If your nominee is selected, a print quality (300 dpi) photo of the recipient(s) will be required prior to the event.

All nominations must be received by NOON on FRIDAY, AUGUST 3rd, 2012.  Agencies must be an IAPD member to apply.
