This award recognizes a print, radio and television medium (or individual reporter/journalist) that has provided responsible and comprehensive coverage of Illinois park districts, forest preserves, conservation, recreation and special recreation agencies at the statewide and/or local level.

There is a $35 processing fee for each nomination. A narrative of contributions the media and/or reporter/journalist has made to your agency must be submitted via e-mail to bjhill@ILparks.org as a Word document attachment. Narratives must not exceed 750 words. Supporting materials including newspaper clippings, photos, etc. (not to exceed 5 pages or 5 attachments) must also be e-mailed as .pdf attachments to bjhill@ILparks.org. If your nominee(s) is selected, you will be required to e-mail a print quality (300 dpi) photo prior to the event.

All nominations must be received by NOON on FRIDAY, AUGUST 3rd, 2012.  Agencies must be an IAPD member to apply.
