An old-fashioned family picnic in a beautiful park on a summer day provides the perfect venue to showcase to legislators all that park and recreation agencies offer to communities throughout Illinois.

In addition to spending time with your legislator in this unique setting, here are four other reasons you should mark your calendar to attend this old fashioned picnic.

  1. FUN. The day will be filled with friendly team games and other fun recreational activities for the entire family.
  2. FAMILY. This will be a family friendly event for both you and your legislators.
  3. FOOD. It wouldn't be a picnic without hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and other refreshments.
  4. FREE. Because of the Joint Legislative Committee's hard work in obtaining volunteers, donations and other sponsorships, this event will be completely FREE.

Call your legislator today and ask them to join you for a fun-filled, old-fashioned family picnic.
