Park Rangers Use Goose Birth Control to Contain Droppings Problem
Park rangers Rick Reed and Barry Skolout steered their boat onto a lake island and scoured the brush for hidden caches.  Reed inched down a steep bank, pulled back leaves and twigs and uncovered a nest with 12 large Canada goose eggs.  The East Bay Regional Park District workers might have celebrated this rite of spring if it were another type of bird.
