Diversity, Equity, Inclusion 3-Part Education Series

Sponsored by IPRA & IPRF, in partnership with IAPD, PDRMA, WILS, IAN

Brought to you by the IPRA Diversity Leadership Taskforce, LaTonya Wilkins, a leader of change management and founder of The Change Coaches, LLC has teamed up with IPRA and its partners to bring you a two-part panel interview and keynote presentation about diversity, social inequity, and inclusion. Joining LaTonya in the two-part panel is a diverse and distinguished panel of professionals that includes Michelle Mason, CEO of Association Form, Dr. Augustus Hallmon, professor at Northwest Missouri State University, and Dr. Jeremy Robinette, professor at Western Illinois University. The panel will dig deep down to talk about personal and professional experiences with racism and the Black Lives Matter movement to provide perspectives from diverse backgrounds. The keynote will recap learning from the conversations and discuss the current U.S. climate, evolution of DEI and unconscious bias, need for promoting equity as an ally, and the importance of committing to diversity, equity, and inclusion to promote long-term, systemic change. Included will be discussion about resources and next steps to help you navigate through these social complexities. Keynote presentation qualifies for 0.1 CEUs, and all events are free!

All three events are proudly sponsored by the Illinois Park and Recreation Foundation and offered in partnership with the Illinois Association of Park Districts, Park District Risk Management Agency, Women In Leisure Services, and the Illinois AfterSchool Network.
